Mayhem is really a black metal band from Norway formed in 1983. Their initial formation consists of Manheim (drums) and Necrobutcher (bass). Their name is obtained from the song "Mayhem With Mercy" by Venom. Mayhem is a band that is very controversial because of their involvement in various murders, suicides, burning of church buildings, along with other violent acts. Mayhem has changed their musical style several times, from black metal, death metal, to industrial and electronica.
Early years (1981-1990)

Mayhem was founded in 1981 by guitarist / vocalist Euronymous, Necrobutcher base, and drummer Manheim. Euronymous then focus on the guitar after vocalist Messiah (Eirik Nordheim) joined in 1986, which was later replaced by Maniac (Sven Erik Kristiansen). After two demos, they recorded a brand new record company Deathcrush with Euronymous, Posercorpse Music.

In the beginning their music is influenced by the genre death / speed metal, but later developed into more unique. Violent themes of death metal and then imbued with nihilism and anti-religion, relying on Norse mythology, the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche, Satanism (though Euronymous won't understand Satanism Aleister Crowley and Anton LaVey and Satan checked out from the perspective [One Of Religion In Indonesia]) .

He committed suicide in the house he rented along with other Mayhem members in Kr ? kstad, and created a message "Excuse all of the blood, Cheers," although other Mayhem members say it is longer, including "the knife was too dull to complete the task so i had to make use of the shotgun ". Euronymous was the first one to locate his body, and he took some photographs which are then used because the cover of the bootleg album Dawn from the Black Hearts.
